Revamped Brandon centre to reopen this week
Brandon Leisure Centre in Suffolk is due to reopen on 9 December following a £500,000 redevelopment of the centre's facilities.
Funded by Forest Heath District Council, the new facilities include a new 50-station fitness studio equipped by Technogym and a multi activity studio catering for group exercise sessions.
The former group cycling facility has been converted into a functional training room while the reception has been redesigned as an open plan space.
Together with the fully refurbished changing facilities the centre now provides improved accessibility for families and those with disabilities.
Richard Balfe, Chairman of Anglia Community Leisure, says: "The work has gone well and is running on time and ready for Christmas. This is just what the people of Brandon need - and what we have promised them. We are looking forward to the official opening and seeing the new facilities put to use."
