Impulse pumps £500,000 into Sussex leisure centre
Charitable enterprise Impulse Leisure has invested £500,000 ($645,800, €574,000) in renovating its Lancing Manor club in West Sussex.
After consultation with members, the gym now offers Technogym equipment with social media capability, virtual training as well as the ability to store and share workout data.
Members also wanted more resistance cables, benches, dumbbells and a larger free weights area.
The centre, which had been closed since April, invited the public to try the facilities for free over the weekend (3-4 June).
Stuart James, leisure centre manger, said: “As a charity, we are delighted to be able to invest back into the community with these fantastic new facilities. I’d like to thank our members for their patience and understanding while the work was carried and I hope they will be as thrilled as we are with the results.”
