Everyone Active partners with iDEA to improve child fitness
Everyone Active has teamed up with on-demand fitness and dance content provider iDEA to launch virtual activity classes for children.
The leisure centre operator will host 14 virtual sessions using activities such as martial arts, street dance, juggling, and hula-hooping, at facilities in the east of England.
The studio classes use large digital screens and have been designed to engage and motivate youngsters. Each 45-minute activity allows children to follow along, to improve everything from self-confidence to focus, coordination and self-expression.
“As virtual classes for adults continue to gain in popularity, our specialism is focused on producing a varied range of unique activities that get children fit physically, mentally and socially," said Ben O’Hara, director of iDEA. "The classes are easy to facilitate and offer a bespoke programme for operators.”
Chris Duncan, Everyone Active east region activity development and funding manager, added: “We're committed to delivering a wide-range of activities to encourage the communities that we operate in to lead healthier, more active lifestyles. We're confident that the new classes will be a key driver in getting more children taking part in physical activity.”
Everyone Active manages more than 150 leisure and cultural facilities nationwide.
