A multi-million pound Sports Village is being planned at Forthbank in Stirling, Central Scotland.

A feasibility study has been completed by Stirling council and PMP consultancy has been appointed to explore funding for the village.

The site hopes to offer a swimming pool, health and fitness suite, multi-purpose sports halls, cricket pitch, football and hockey pitches and five-a-side football.

Sport and Leisure Manager at Stirling Council, Keith Russell, said: 'The sports village project has been discussed for a number of years and we are excited that our aspirations to provide high quality facilities in Stirling are now moving forward.'
