Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC) has confirmed that it has launched a second legal challenge over the future of London's Olympic Stadium following the 2012 Games.

Last month, the club applied to the High Court to pursue a claim against Newham Council, which supported West Ham United Football Club's (WHUFC) successful bid for the venue. THFC has now confirmed it has sought permission from the High Court to bring a claim against other agencies involved, including the Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC).

The Premier League club is calling for a judicial review of the decisions taken as part of the stadium procurement process, which was decided in February. In addition to the role of the OPLC, THFC's latest legal challenge also concerns the communities secretary; the minister for sport and the Olympics; and the mayor of London.

A THFC spokesperson said: "The club continues to hold discussions with both local and national government bodies in order to seek to agree a feasible stadium solution." Leyton Orient Football Club also confirmed last month that it would be seeking a judicial review against the decision to award the Olympic Stadium to WHUFC.
