ACDL's Southern Vietnam resort complex open for business
The Grand Ho Tram Strip Hotel in southern Vietnam is up and running after the first phase of the resort development – including a 1,650sq m (17,760sq ft) spa – was completed at the end of last year.
Asian Coast Development (Canada) (ACDL) is the international development company behind this 400-acre integrated resort destination – expected to become the largest tourism complex in Vietnam.
ACDL’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Ho Tram Project Company Ltd, is the developer of the US$4.2bn (€3.2bn, £2.6bn) Ho Tram Strip resort which will span 2.2km (1.36 miles) of beachfront in Ho Tram, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.
Managed by MGM Resorts International, The 541-bedroom Grand Ho Tram Strip Hotel spa includes 10 standard treatment rooms in addition to two Thai therapy rooms, two spa suites for couples, plus a 150sq m (1,614sq ft) fitness centre.
A spokesperson for The Ho Tram Project Company Ltd told Spa Opportunities, that the spa itself expects to reach profits of US$1.4m (€1m, £0.8m) by its fifth year of trading, but only 10 per cent of this is expected to come from retail sales.
Within the spa, there are separate female and male changing rooms and thermal facilities. Comfort Zone skin care products are used in treatments including massages, body wraps, body scrubs and facials.
Designed by
The Ho Tram Strip’s Championship golf course – Greg Norman's The Bluffs – opened in March as part of the first phase of the resort’s development.
Further development phases are to include a second integrated resort to be operated by Pinnacle Entertainment Group and three further five-star resorts.
