The 129-year old Stradey Park stadium in Llanelli, south Wales, has hosted its last ever game as the Scarlets rugby team prepares to move to its new stadium.

First used for rugby union in 1879, more than 2,500 games have been played at the ground, which has been earmarked for demolition to make way for a housing development. Scarlets will now move to the new £23m, 14,421-capacity Parc y Scarlets stadium having already sold the ground. However, the relocation of the Scarlets team could be the subject of a third public inquiry after BBC Wales reported that housing plans for the Stradey Park site could be called in by the Welsh Assembly Government.
