Switzerland's first indoor theme park, Ticiland, to open its doors on 23 December
The new Ticiland indoor park in Stein am Rhein in Switzerland, which briefly launched earlier this year before being forced to close its doors due to the pandemic, plans to reopen its doors ahead of Christmas.
In a statement, the park said it would reopen its doors on 23 December, hoping to catch some of the holiday business.
The attraction – the first indoor theme park in Switzerland – is the brainchild of Markus Mack-Even and business partner Peter Hablützel.
Located close to the Switzerland-Germany border, Ticiland looks to attract families within an one-hour drive.
Rides and attractions at the park include the Ticino roller coaster, a steel-coaster manufactured by Zierer which reaches speeds of up to 25mph on a 730ft-long track; a Wave flyer swing ride and a drop tower.
There are also bumper cars, a large soft play area, a children's carousel, water-based "bumper boots", a show and entertainment stage and food and beverage areas.
The park will be managed by Ticiland AG, a venture set up by Mack-Even and Hablützel.
