Tandridge Leisure Limited’s Oxted Leisure Centre has been awarded a Quest assessment score of 77 per cent, retaining its place Highly Commended category and improving on its 2004 score by 2 per cent.

This means that the Oxted property is now within the top 7 per cent of accredited centres within the UK.

Managing director of Tandridge Leisure, Paul Clark, said: “As a company, we work hard to improve the quality of service we provide for our customers – they are the heart of our business and it is very important to us that they have an enjoyable leisure experience in a safe environment every time they visit one of our centres.

“I am very pleased to have retained our highly commended status and delighted we have increased our score, but we are commited as always to continuing our drive towards providing the best possible service for our customers.”

Chief executive of Tandridge District Council, Stephen Weigel, added: “Tandridge District Council wishes to offer congratulations to the management and staff of Tandridge Leisure and Tandridge Leisure Centre at Oxted in successfully achieving the Highly Commended Quest Category. This is a prestigious award and the council is proud to support and work in partnership with Tandridge Leisure.

“The council shares the values and objectives measured by the Quest scheme of continuing to improve the quality of services provided to their patrons.”

The Quest accreditation has been designed by and for the industry to help managers enhance, improve and continue to better the quality of service that is provided to customers. The quality award has to be regained every two years and is testimony to ongoing improvement focusing on identifying and meeting customer needs.
