Bannatyne targets mums

16 Mar 2004

Bannatyne is encouraging new mums to get back into the gym with a new fitness programme.

Many new mums stop going to the gym following pregnancy because of tiredness and the challenges of family life, so the company is encouraging both new mums and mums to be to take part in safe and comfortable exercises, said operations director, Neil Armstrong.

“We want to dispel the myth that exercising during pregnancy is not necessary," Armstrong commented.

"We encourage exercise before and after pregnancy as it combats many minor aches and discomforts. Our members benefit greatly and notice differences in their energy levels and health, they also meet people and make new friends at a time when life can be daunting,” he said.
