Tulah Clinical Wellness, a holistic wellness destination, is set to open in the hills of northern Kerala, India, in February 2026.

Tulah, which means “balance” in Sanskrit, will be a clinical healing sanctuary offering guests personalised healing and transformational experiences for the body, mind and soul.

The programming will blend ancient Eastern traditions such as Ayurveda, Vedanta, yoga, Tibetan and Traditional Chinese Medicine with advanced diagnostics and regenerative medicine. Guests will have access to a full spectrum of wellness philosophies.

The first of a series of city-based clinical wellness hubs will launch in Dubai later next year, providing follow-up appointments and aftercare for guests of the Keralan facility.

Further stand-alone urban hubs are planned for Singapore, London, Berlin and New York City. The long-term vision is to establish 100 Tulah hubs globally over the next decade, creating an ecosystem to make longevity and preventive care accessible in major cities around the world.

Tulah is the vision of engineer, entrepreneur and philanthropist Faizal Kottikollon. Kottikollon’s social impact projects have included the development of Tulah’s sister institution, Meitra Hospital, a modular healthcare facility in India that was built in 18 months in collaboration with medical professionals from the Cleveland Clinic.

He has also provided design innovations to transform more than 1,000 schools in India and Africa.

Kottikollon sees Tulah as his opportunity to provide a lasting legacy of clinical healing that bridges the scientific and the spiritual: “The beauty of clinical wellness is that you heal people – and that’s the biggest blessing you can get in life.”

Design

The property will have 65 suites and 14 treatment spaces, all set within 30 acres of gardens and rewilded forests.

There will be a sonorium, which Tulah’s representatives say will be the largest sound healing dome in the world. This dome is designed to restore balance at a cellular level using harmonic frequencies.

The nature-informed design will integrate sustainability-focused systems, such as rainwater harvesting and radiant cooling instead of air conditioning.

Native flora will provide plants for the project’s apothecary and its restaurant. Chefs will create nourishing food using herbs, fruits and vegetables from the gardens, complemented by responsibly sourced fish and organic meats from local producers.

At Tulah, guests can take part in therapeutic movement sessions within the property's specially-designed Iyengar yoga studio. The space will have a full suite of Iyengar props and fixtures to provide musculoskeletal realignment, spinal health and posture correction protocols.

Concept and programming

Guests will undergo an extensive pre-arrival assessment to evaluate physical, mental and emotional health. On-site, guests can have more testing if required.

Metrics about muscle density, cardio function, immune system and gut health, stress and quality of life data are recorded using The Tulah Life Index. This data informs highly personalised treatment plans that range from four-day health discoveries to 21-day oncology recovery stays.

Each guest follows one of two pathways: The Wellness Journey or The Clinical Journey. Both feature integrative holistic wellness plans.

The Wellness Journey is focused on prevention, optimisation and lifestyle recalibration while The Clinical Journey centres on chronic condition support and recovery.

Ancient practices and modern medicine

Tulah will offer a vast array of tailored treatments, including those that incorporate Ayurveda, TCM, Sowa-Rigpa, cupping, moxibustion and lymphatic drainage.

Movement, nutrition and cognitive therapies will be personalised based on both genomic and dosha insights.

Tulah is creating its own skincare line, combining Ayurvedic botanicals with dermatological science.

Guests that are looking for more clinical interventions will have access to comprehensive lab panels, genetic insights and many more tests. The clinical facility has the capacity for Xrays, CT and MRI scans, an operating theatre, an ICU and medical suites. For complex needs, Tulah has access to more than 200 specialists from Meitra Hospital, 20 minutes away.

Innovation

Tulah’s engineering and design team have developed an Ayurvedic Vichy Bed in order to modernise traditional sensory oil-based therapies, including Ayurvedic and hammam treatments. Tulah is manufacturing the bed in-house and there will be seven of them installed at Tulah, with plans to retail the bed globally.

Faizal Kottikollon told Spa Business, "Although inspired by Ayurveda, the bed is fully multi-functional and suitable for all forms of wet therapy, making it a universal upgrade for treatment rooms worldwide."

Tulah will also offer cutting-edge technology, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, cryotherapy and inflammation-reducing photobiomodulation.

In addition to the series of urban wellness hubs that will be rolled out to provide follow-up holistic wellness services, Tulah will also launch Tulah at Home – a home care programme that will provide data-led advice for daily life.

Suppliers of technology and key equipment include:

• Tekna – Clinical-grade Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
• Kryion – Full-body cryotherapy systems
• VALD Performance – Biomechanics, neuromuscular and movement analytics
• BTL CardioPoint CPET – Cardiopulmonary exercise testing for VO2 max and metabolic analysis
• Cyberdyne HAL – Robotic exoskeleton for stroke and neuro-motor rehabilitation
