Turtle Island in Fiji opens new spa
Turtle Island in Fiji has opened a free standing spa along the island's famed Blue Lagoon.
Vonu Spa has two treatment rooms for couples and singles and is constructed of hardwood grown mostly on the island. It features a meditative Zen water garden as well as a veranda with lounges overlooking the lagoon.
Pure Fiji healthcare products are used by the spa which highlight the healing powers of native plants, herbs and fruit. Its signature treatment is a traditional Fijian bobo massage, which is an indigenous technique known to local women.
Other treatments include sports massage, four-handed lomi-lomi relaxation massage, and reflexology treatments.
Another feature of the spa, given the popularity of the resort as a wedding destination, is a dedicated bridal preparation room. Services offered include manicures and pedicures, make-up and spa treatments.
Turtle Island is one of the world's most exclusive private resort islands and hosts only 14 couples at a time.
