National Gallery opens da Vinci exhibition
A new Leonardo da Vinci exhibition has opened today (9 November) at London's National Gallery, following a "unique collaboration" with the Louvre in Paris, France.
Leonardo da Vinci: Painter of the Court of Milan marks the first time that both versions of the painter's Virgin of the Rocks have been brought together in the same place.
The exhibition at the National Gallery will run until 5 February 2012, before a second opens at the Louvre in March as part of the collaboration between the two attractions.
Leonardo da Vinci's St Anne at the Louvre will see the restored The Virgin and Child with Saint Anne joined by the National Gallery's The Burlington House Cartoon - Virgin and Child with Saint Anne and John the Baptist from 29 March 2012.
