National Museum remembers 9/11

By Helen Patenall    03 Sep 2007

The World Trade Center Memorial Foundation is overseeing the construction of a US$350m (£173.6m, 257m euro) museum at the World Trade Center in New York, US, in remembrance of the events of 9/11.

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum aims to communicate the universal implications, document the lives of those affected and explore the legacy of 9/11.

Michael Arad and Peter Walker have designed the building to feature two pools surrounded by a plaza of oak trees built on the foundations.
