Paradise spa opens
Tervise Paradiis is the latest addition to the already rich spa offerings at the Estonian seaside town of Pärnu.
The destination spa, located on the bottom two floors of the 122-room Tervise Paradiis hotel, offers a range of treatments, including traditional massages, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, ozocerite and paraffin therapy and power jet water massages.
Launched in April, just in time for the busy summer season, the spa’s amenities include a 25m pool, a salt chamber, a relaxing energy capsule, an infra red sauna, a steam room and a relaxation room.
The hotel has four restaurants, with a specially designed spa restaurant offering guests a healthy option menu.
The site is marketed as a destination for the entire family, as it also holds the largest indoor water park in the Baltic states and a 70-capacity conference centre with its own private pool and sauna facilities.
Tervise Paradiis is one of many spas in the area hoping to attract visitors across Europe to Pärnu, following Estonia’s recent entry into the European Union.
The town of Pärnu joined the European Spas Association in 2000 and has a remarkably high number of spas – 10 – for a population of barely 44,000 people.
Pärnu’s first seaside spa was opened back in 1837. Details: www.spa.ee
