Wellness For Heroes initiative donates free spa treatments to key workers
Luxury spa collection website, The Luxury Spa Edit, has joined forces with spa hotels across the UK to express their gratitude for those putting their lives at risk to help others during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The organisation has launched The Wellness for Heroes initiative where key workers can enter competitions to win prizes such as luxury spa breaks.
The scheme has been donated to by properties including The Grove, Pennyhill Park, Seaham Hall, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, South Lodge, Thyme, Rockliffe Hall, The Langley, Archerfield House, Bailiffscourt, Beaverbrook, Lucknam Park, Stoke Park, The Langham, Ockenden Manor, St Michaels Resort and Grantley Hall.
Spa brands and suppliers including Temple Spa, Elemental Herbology and Germaine de Capuccini have also contributed to the initiative.
The Luxury Spa Edit founder Lisa Brown said: “These are worrying and uncertain times for all
of us, but those working on the frontline have the added anxiety of putting themselves atrisk on a daily basis.
“Sadly I, along with many others, have a loved one who has been hospitalised with the COVID-19 virus and our NHS staff are under a huge amount of pressure, and doing an incredible job to help save lives every day. I’m also mindful of the key workers – carers, public service and education workers – that are keeping us all going through this difficult time.
“We’ve created these competitions to allow some of our heroes to take a much-deserved wellness break,” she said.
Wellness For Heroes competitions are open to all NHS staff and key frontline workers until 31 July 2020.
