Weymouth Football Club (WFC), which competes in the Blue Square South, is seeking to enter into a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) in an attempt to save the club.

According to a statement from the club's board of directors, more debt has been uncovered over the last month that has had an impact on its ability to continue meeting the previously agreed demands of creditors. A WFC spokesperson said: "We have taken advice from an insolvency practitioner and it has recommended that the football club try to enter into a Company Voluntary Arrangement with all creditors."
