Sheffield tennis facility revamped

Abbeydale Tennis Club in Sheffield has reopened following a 12-month facelift.

The £1.5m redevelopment included the resurfacing of six courts, while two courts have been installed with airdomes.

A members-only clubhouse with changing facilities and a licensed bar with a patio and a roof terrace have been built, as well as a new car park.

The club received £1m from the Lawn Tennis Association to help fund the refurbishment scheme.
