Gerflor strengthens with acquisition of US sports surfacing company
Flooring specialist Gerflor has completed the acquisition of the US sports surfacing company Connor Sport Court International.
The move brings three leading brands – Connor, Sport Court and Taraflex – together under one flagship group.
Gerflor said the acquisition will not only expand its global reach and sports product range portfolio, but the combined resources of the two companies would allow it to offer “more innovative solutions and improved services”.
Connor Sport Court International is known for building systems for a variety of top sports associations, including basketball’s NBA and FIBA.
Bertrand Chammas, CEO of the Gerflor Group, said the move was a “major step forward” in strengthening the company’s sales footprint in North America, while Ron Cerny, CEO of Connor Sport Court International, acknowledged it was a “great fit for both companies”.
