Renowned for its two Professional Golfers’ Association championship golf courses, sport and fitness play an integral part of the Goodwood Hotel. Located within the hotel, The Goodwood Health Club and Waterbeach Spa has refurbished its 2,000 capacity gym and updated its fitness equipment.

The 1,725sq ft gym’s strength and indoor cycling kit was replaced with state-of-the-art Precor equipment including fifteen top-of-the-range Spinner Rally bikes, and eight Vitality Series Selectorised strength stations.

New cardiovascular machines have also been installed, all showcasing the new P82 console.

Health Club and Spa manager, Jen Evans-Brewer said: “We’ve purchased Precor equipment previously and been extremely happy with how it performed and what it offered our guests and members.

“The Spinner bikes are a brilliant addition. The transitions are smoother and the range of motion better, so the class can really support a broad spectrum of fitness levels.

"We also updated our CV equipment so members could benefit from Precor’s new P82 console. The interfaces are vastly improved and intuitive for all demographics.

"Since completing the refurbishment we’ve seen user levels increase while experiencing our lowest leaver figures since 2009.”

The gym now showcases six Experience Series Next-Generation treadmills, three Adaptive Motion Trainers with Open Stride, along with upright and recumbent bikes.
