Canolfan Pentre Awel is an 83-acre groundbreaking development in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. This pioneering project integrates leisure, business, health, research, education, assisted living, and hotel facilities in one location. Spearheaded by Carmarthenshire County Council, the project has partnered with Hywel Dda University Health board and Swansea University.

Actif Sport and Leisure at Canolfan Pentre Awel

Opening in Summer 2025, Canolfan Pentre Awel will be a hub of leisure and community wellbeing. Highlights include a 600-square-metre fitness suite, equipped with the latest premium commercial strength, cardio, and functional fitness equipment provided by Precor and partners Rent Gym.  In addition to the premium equipment from Precor and Rent Gym, Canolfan Pentre Awel will also feature innovative EGYM smart fitness solutions, Keiser’s industry-leading spin bikes, and versatile training zones with Black Box equipment — all designed to deliver an exceptional and inclusive workout experience.

This fitness suite offers an enhanced experience with Chromecast technology, which allows exercisers to easily connect their phone to the Precor cardio consoles and watch their favourite streaming app on the big screen, and EGYM’s innovative customer journey, tailored to individual health and wellbeing needs. 

Facilities also include a dance studio, spin room with Keiser Bikes, and multipurpose rooms for virtual and in-person activities. The 8-court sports hall and aquatic facilities, featuring an 8-lane 25m competition and teaching pool plus a hydrotherapy pool, cater to diverse needs from family fun to clinical support.
