Thornton delivers a new football and hockey pitch for sports pupils

Thornton Sports has recently completed a new 3G sports pitch facility for an academy school in Lancashire, UK.
The surface chosen for Bishop Rawstorne C of E Academy in Croston was Thornton Sports’ UK manufactured SoccerTurf 40M 3rd generation sand/rubber filled synthetic grass.
Ideal for football and hockey use, the size of the existing pitch was also increased to provide a new, larger facility.
The full-size pitch was then enclosed with new perimeter fencing and floodlighting, and works completed with the installation of sports equipment and construction of a new access path.
