Matrix Fitness launches range of Target Training Cycles to UK market

By Lauren Heath-Jones    11 Dec 2018
The Target Training Cycling range is designed to redefine the cycling experience

Matrix Fitness – the commercial division of Johnson Health Tech – is set to transform the indoor cycling class with the launch of its Target Training Cycles. The range has been specifically designed to redefine the cycling experience with a new Target Training Display.

The series — which includes the CXC Training Cycle, CXM Training Cycle and CXP Target Training Cycle — will appeal to cycling enthusiasts and club members looking for a unique group exercise experience. The enhanced interaction will also help operators generate fresh interest in their indoor cycling class calendar.

The most impactful feature can be found on the CXP Target Training Cycle in the form of a distinctive Target Training touchscreen display that uses engaging graphics and vibrant colours to motivate riders, gauge effort and keep everyone on track for their goals. Integrated user testing establishes personalised targets, so instructors can seat elite cyclists next to deconditioned users and first-time participants and be sure that everyone will get a workout that challenges them to make measurable progress. Three vibrant colours express each rider’s level of effort relative to their personalised metric target, and trainers can intuitively guide members through different phases of their ride, from warm-up to a steady pace to threshold intervals and back to cool-down.

Original programming for the CXM and CXP includes a live workshop, an educational manual, lesson plans and more. Matrix gives trainers everything they need to lead a cycling class that engages a wide range of members by focusing on meaningful metrics including watts, heart rate, RPMs, distance and calories.

“At Matrix Fitness we are always looking to develop the latest technological innovations in fitness equipment,” said Rob Knox, product director for Matrix Fitness.

“Our range of bikes provide gym goers with meaningful and measurable statistics to meet their fitness goals within the class environment. The range also provides support to operators and instructors to ensure they can keep members engaged for longer.”
